Virgin Media's consumer website historically has been split across many legacy platforms, with a push to update and combine some of these plaform came an oppotunity to standardise and make consistent both the user journeys and the design.
The challenge before tackling any journey was to create a set of robust guidelines and component library. Taking the existing Virgin Media brand we set about creating components that would be flexible enough to work well across any number of applications on the new platform. At the same time we streamedlined the production of the new roll out by utilising the Atomic design sytem within Sketch making it easier and faster to create new pages and experiences, plus keeping the design consistent.
